Man I realize this sounds crazy….. But none the less. A zombie deer is an animal sickened by a neuro-degenerative disease that reduces them to stumbling, drooling zombie like creatures. Crazy huh?

Zombie deer are actually animals suffering from chronic wasting disease. They can become more aggressive and less afraid of humans, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. CDC has never found CWD in humans though. Deer with this disease ALWAYS die, 100% fatal. The CDC recommends hunters do not shoot, handle or eat meat from a deer that looks sick, is acting strangely or found dead. They have found zombie deer in the following states who have reported the disease: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. A whopping 42 counties in Nebraska reported CWD as of Feb. 19.
